Love Movies? Indulge the cinemaphile in you for a mere three euros on Tuesdays due to a new initiative by the city of Verona. This ongoing series unfolds its magic on Tuesday, 12th March, across the theaters of Verona and the entire Veneto province. A collaborative effort between the Veneto Region, the Italian Arthouse Cinema Federation (FICE) of the Tre Venezie, and the Triveneta Interregional Union AGIS, this multi-year project promises an unforgettable cinematic experience.
In the heart of the city, the Rivoli Multiplex beckons with screenings of “One Life” (USA, 2023) by James Hawes at 5 pm, 7:15 pm, and 9:30 pm. This poignant tale recounts the heroic endeavors of Sir Nicholas “Nicky” Winton, a London broker who defied the odds to rescue 669 refugee children in the tumultuous months leading to the Second World War. Despite his valiant efforts, Nicky remains haunted by the children he couldn’t save, a burden that weighs heavily on his conscience even decades later. Yet, fate holds a surprise in store for him.
Venturing beyond the city limits, “Bob Marley: One Love” (USA, 2024) by Reinaldo Marcus Green takes center stage. Celebrating the life and legacy of an iconic figure whose message of love and unity transcends generations, this film offers a mesmerizing glimpse into Bob Marley’s extraordinary journey. Witness his resilience and musical genius unfold on the silver screen for the very first time. Catch this cinematic marvel at the Cinergia Multiplex in Legnago (7:15 pm and 8:30 pm) and the Cristallo Multiplex in San Bonifacio (7 pm and 9:45 pm).
