If you’re in Verona today, Saturday, June 1, just 20 minutes south in Zevio (at Piazza Guglielmo Marconi and Corso Cavour), the Pink Night, the most eagerly anticipated and colorful event of the year, will come to life. In collaboration with the organisers of the Torneo delle Contrade, the ‘Colour Run’ will commence at 6 PM from Piazza Santa Toscana. The registration fee for the marathon is only 2 euros. This event brings enthusiasm, festivity, and a vibrant splash of colors, igniting a desire for fun among both young and old.
Throughout this night-long festival, shops in the town center will stay open late into the evening, allowing visitors to shop leisurely without worrying about schedules and parking. Also, there will be attractions and entertainment for children, as well as a hobby market for those not interested in the run themselves.
The Pro Loco of Zevio has arranged for live music starting at 7:30 PM. Additionally, in Piazza Marconi, a special event will take you back to simpler times when people had fun with very little. Two small pieces of wood will be used in friendly competitions to see who can throw them the farthest in the traditional Italian game of ‘s-cianco.’ This year’s championship consists of 7 stages, involving 6 municipalities and 11 teams. From 7 PM onwards, attendees can also enjoy a selection of pasta and pizza dishes, all paired with excellent beer, many from local breweries.
