Verona will come alive with the vibrant and diverse performances of “Teatro nei Cortili” from June 25 to September 1, 2024. This annual festival celebrates amateur theatre, offering a mix of comedy, drama, and musical prose across three locations: Chiostro di S. Maria in Organo, Chiostro di S. Eufemia, and Cortile Montanari.
A Summer of Theatre Magic
This year’s festival features over 20 amateur theatre companies, presenting nearly 190 performances. The program spans various genres, ensuring there’s something for everyone, from light-hearted comedies to thought-provoking dramas. Opening Highlights
The festival kicks off with a variety of exciting performances. At Chiostro di S. Maria in Organo, the company Tiraca will present “Toccata e fuga” starting June 25, followed by Veronamusical’s “Frankenstin – si può fare!” from June 29. Over at Chiostro di S. Eufemia, “Il club delle prime.. quasi ex.. mogli” by La Bugia Aps will begin on June 29. Performances at Cortile Montanari will commence in July.
