All’Antico Vinaio, the famous Florence Osteria is opening in Verona

All’Antico Vinaio, renowned among Florence’s Schiacciata enthusiasts (and anyone with taste buds), is set to make its mark in Verona. Tommaso Mazzanti, the driving force behind the brand, announced the opening of a new restaurant in the heart of Verona’s historic center, on Via Mazzini, scheduled for March. The eatery is famed for its lengthy queues of customers hailing from all corners, eager to indulge in its renowned Schiacciata. With its intriguing motto, “Be careful how you smoke it,” All’Antico Vinaio holds the title of being the most reviewed restaurant in the world with thousands of reviews across Google and TripAdvisor.

All’Antico Vinaio’s Menu

All’Antico Vinaio’s success lies in its commitment to Tuscan tradition, offering Schiacciata filled with premium local ingredients. Popular options include “L’Italiana,” featuring Parma ham, buffalo mozzarella, tomato, and basil, and “La Paradiso,” with mortadella, pistachio cream, stracciatella, and chopped pistachios. Vegetarian and limited edition choices, like “La Tricolore” with beef carpaccio, pistachio cream, stracciatella, and chopped hazelnuts, also grace the menu. The “Joe Bastianich” is a tempting flatbread marrying bacon’s crunchiness with pecorino cream’s softness, elevated with dried tomatoes and a touch of rocket’s freshness. “The Boss” boasts elegant raw meat paired with semi-mature Maremma pecorino, refined truffle cream, and a burst of rocket’s crispness.

About All’Antico Vinaio

Antico Vinaio’s Florentine establishments are revered institutions, drawing tourists and locals willing to wait up to an hour for their famed Schiacciata—a testament to its quality and global renown. The Tuscan focaccia, richly stuffed with traditional ingredients like finocchiona, pecorino, and lard cream, is complemented by flavorful sauces such as truffle or porcini mushrooms. The journey began in 1999 on Via de Neri in Florence, where the Mazzanti family transformed a historic winery into a gastronomic hub. In 2015, Osteria dell’Antico Vinaio opened across from the original restaurant, expanding its culinary offerings. With three bustling locations in Florence and expansions into New York and soon Los Angeles, Antico Vinaio’s arrival in Verona signifies a new chapter, bringing a slice of Tuscan charm to the city of Romeo and Juliet, tantalizing palates with its distinctive gastronomic offerings.
