Starting February 21st, Uber is expanding its services to include Uber Black, Van, and Taxi options in several cities across the Veneto region, including Verona. Following its presence in major Italian cities like Milan, Rome, and Florence, Uber is now extending its reach to Venice (Mestre), Vicenza, Padua, Treviso, and San Donà di Piave.
The Uber Black service, along with Uber Van accommodating up to 6 passengers, will be provided by NCC operators, now available in 11 Italian cities. Additionally, through a partnership with the IT Taxi consortium, Taxi service will be offered in Venice (Mestre), Vicenza, Padua, and San Donà, available in 10 Italian cities.
Lorenzo Pireddu, Uber Italia’s General Manager, expressed excitement about the expansion, highlighting the aim to enhance urban mobility for both residents and tourists in Veneto, acknowledging the region’s significance as an economic and tourism hub.
The Uber app provides various features for users, including driver information, car model, upfront pricing, fare splitting, route tracking, and anonymous communication between passengers and drivers without sharing personal phone numbers.
