Starting April 8th, Verona buses made the switch to a more modern way to buy and use tickets – QR codes!
Here’s what you need to know:
- New QR Code Tickets: These are available now at ticket offices and retailers. They’re scanned on a new red machine on the bus for validation.
- Old Tickets (for now): You can still use your old tickets as long as they’re manually cancelled by the driver.
- Ticket Bus Verona App: Keep using the app to purchase and validate tickets electronically if you prefer.
Benefits of QR Code Ticketing:
- Faster and easier validation process.
- A step towards a more efficient service.
Paying by Credit Card (New Option):
- For added convenience, you can now pay for tickets directly on the bus using your credit card.
- There’s a small fee of €0.50 for the first 3 trips using this method.
- Regular ticket price (€1.50) applies after that.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to activate the service and keep the last two digits of the transaction for verification purposes.
